Faye Forsyth- Chair of Governors
I have been a Governor at the school since 2014, and have been Chair of Governors since 2019.
I am a parent with children in both key stages at Lyngford Park, this gives me a good all round perspective and interest in the school being the best it can be. It helps support my role of Chair of Governors, where I can offer fair parent feedback and support, as well as being able to be a critical friend to the school.
The skill set I can offer to support my role includes owning my own business and also having qualifications within teaching and assessing.
Being a governor is important to me as I truly care about the quality of education the children receive and I am passionate about Lyngford Park, and it’s achievements to date.
I enjoy being able to support Lyngford Park within my role of Chair of Governors, with a dedicated, diverse, skilled governing body along side of me.
Melanie Lyness- Vice Chair
I became a parent governor in July 2018 and since joining the governing body my eyes have been opened to the vast planning involved to ensure our children have a fulfilling primary school experience. Having two children at Lyngford Park who are in Key Stage 2, means I have a very keen interest in the education our children receive.
As a long term resident of the area I am invested in our community as a whole and hope to represent the parents and community, as well as supporting the school in the role of Parent Governor.
I have been a Governor at Lyngford Park for 8 years. I started as a parent Governor and now I am a co-opted Governor. I work as a financial manager in a local secondary school and through this can bring a lot of knowledge to the school. Over the years I have been a Safeguarding Governor and have had regular visits to the school to monitor the safeguarding procedures. I have had a child go through Lyngford Park and know how important a well rounded education is for each and every pupil. I am keen to continue to work with Lyngford Park to bring the school forward and enhance children's learning.
