New Reception for September 2021

Lyngford Park School video

Welcome to Reception 2021/22. This year has been slightly different for everyone so we will be putting information on here and hoping after June 2021 we can hold a new parent's meeting at school.

In September your child will either be with Miss Wasiewicz (Willow Class) or Mrs John (Hornbeam Class). The children will register in these groups but we will work together as one big team with our learning and exploring. Please watch the videos in 'our teachers' to find out about the adults you will be working with.

If you have any questions then please feel free to email us at   reception2020.sch339@educ.somerset.gov.uk  . We will try to get back to you as quickly as possible.

                                                                                        Wednesday 14th July 2021

Hello everyone,

I hope that you are all well. We are so excited that your child is starting with us in September. Here are just a few things before we start. I will be setting up Class Dojo in the next week and will use the emails that you have provided the school with/ us in the Google meets. If this is not ok please contact the school office. This will mean that you are able to contact myself and Mrs John and see any messages that we put out.

The week beginning the 6th September:

Monday and Tuesday are INSET days so the school is closed to pupils.

Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th will be 8:55 to 11:30. Please can the children bring a named water bottle with them?

Friday 10th will be 8:55 until 12:30 and the children will have lunch. You can either provide a packed lunch or we can order a school dinner for you.

Every Friday will be forest school so the children will need to wear clothes and suitable footwear for going into our forest area (they can sometimes get muddy).

The following week we will be in full time from 8:55 until 3:05.

We will arrange an evening after school where you can come in and see the school and our classroom.

Yours Sincerely

Miss Wasiewicz

Assistant Head and Early Years Lead
