School Meals
From September 2023 Huish Education Services will be the provider of hot meals at Lyngford Park Primary School. We have a three week rolling menu. Parents are asked to place orders via their MCAS account no later than midnight on the Tuesday of the week before. However, where a school holiday falls, the cut off will be the Tuesday of the last week of term.
If your child does not appear on the lunch register, we will contact you so that a packed lunch can be provided for the rest of the week.
Remember to claim free school meal eligibility. This is particularly relevant for those children moving from Year 2 to Year 3 at the end of the academic year who, from September, will no longer be entitled to free lunches under the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meal Scheme (UIFSM), but who could still have free lunches if they have benefits-related entitlement to Free School Meals. Ask the School Office for a form – the school will not be given details about any family’s financial situation, merely whether the child/children are ‘eligible’ for benefits-related Free School Meals. This entitlement, as well as free school meals, also attracts additional funding for the school (through the Pupil Premium Grant) and therefore has additional benefits, additional teacher support, as well as support for clubs or activities in school. Please do apply if you think you are entitled even if your child is already receiving a free school meal through the Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme – there are other benefits!
All our meals are subject to availability on the day.
Allergens *Egg free & Dairy puddings will be available*
